Sport: NPC Bikini Competitor & Mother
Brief Bio: I am a proud Mother to my precious angel, Izik Alexander and a devoted wife to my very loving and supportive husband, Ruben. They have given me the strength to move forward in the direction I was intended to be. I am so humbled by all of the support I receive each day. It truly makes me appreciate all of the hard work I put in day in everyday and I work hard to give back to those who appreciate it. It may come to a surprise when I say that I do not come from an athletic background. I was introduced to the sport my first year of college. I attended my first show and I was hooked. Over the next few years I researched on anything and everything I could get my hands on so that I can achieve that “look.” Bodybuilding has given me a new outlook on life. It has taught me discipline and what can be achieved through hard work and determination. After the birth of my son I decided to keep my dreams alive and although I knew it would not be easy I decided to set a goal and get myself on stage for my first bikini competition just six months after giving birth. The next couple of months I worked very hard to get myself healthy and stage ready. The challenges I faced were no different from many of the hard working moms out there. Many times I wanted to throw in the towel or I felt as if my body could not push any more. One thing that remained constant was my mind and my focus. The love for my family and the pressure to do better kept my eyes on the prize. There are no words to describe the feeling of accomplishment I felt when I hit that stage just six months after birth. All I kept thinking about was my son, my family and friends who believed in me. Placing top ten at my first national qualifying show is truly a humbling experience but the greatest accomplishment was what I hold close and near to my heart, my family. They are my prized possession, a “trophy” that no one will ever have. I thank God everyday for all that he has blessed me with.
I am truly blessed by all of the doors that have opened up in my favor and I will continue to work hard and reach higher to make every single goal attainable and met. I am grateful to be a part of one of the best nutrition companies in the business. Being an iForce Nutrition athlete is a huge accomplishment and I will do everything in my power to give back and keep the dreams alive.
If you can envision it you can achieve it!
