Brief Bio: I’m a mother, artist, bikini competitor born May 27, 1985 and raised in Yuma, AZ. I’m a single mom who tries to enjoy life to its fullest.
My life revolves around my daughter Raina, who is now two years old. Born at 36 weeks she weighed only 4lbs 3 ounces and was diagnosed with Congenital Heart disease. Raina was also diagnosed with a genetic disorder known as chromosome 7 deletion. The decision to become a stay at home mom was instant, to provide the best care possible for my daughter.

My daughter and I live a routine hospital stay but in the joy of our own home. Our life is full of constant doctor and therapy appointments. When someone asks me what I do, I tell them, “I stay home and take care of my special needs daughter” and I’m not in the least ashamed or embarrassed. I have learned that most people who don’t think much of a stay-at-home mom don’t know how much is really involved. My daughter is developmentally and physically behind and it’s my job to catch her up where she needs to be; I can get a career later. Despite any difficulties, Raina is a happy toddler and thriving every day.
As a stay at home mother I found the gym to be my outlet. I’m the crazy girl in the gym wearing her hat down low, ear phones in, “doing work!!” The reason why I started competing was for a personal goal, to have the motivation to wake up every day and feel accomplished by the end of the day. I got hooked improving my body and seeing my body at its best. I compete in the NPC Bikini Division. I stepped on stage in July 2011, did two local shows and placed second at both and decided to test my physique at nationals, USA’s in Vegas. My first time at nationals I placed seventh, now considered a national level competitor, I’m more critical than ever. I’m proud to say I’m a JamCore athlete, former IFBB Pro Jamo Nezzar, knows his “stuff”.
I have two greatest achievements so far in life. One, seeing my daughter overcome her medical and physical conditions and two, being able to inspire others. Especially mothers to keep a healthy life style, no matter what their situation may be. There has been a time when my daughter has been in the hospital for weeks. As a stress reliever, when my daughter would fall asleep, I’d go down to the hospital lobby and do hour lunges. I never would have thought in a million years anyone would tell me that I’ve inspired them. It’s a very unique feeling that overwhelms me.
With two highly competitive bikini competitions coming up, Arnold Amateur March 2012 and the USA’S July 2012, I’m shooting for my IFBB Pro Card in the Bikini Division. As long as I’m able to put my daughter first and compete at the same time, I will compete till I reach my pro card. I’m excited to make improvements and see my body transform. I love competing and look forward to getting on stage each time. 2012 is going to be a fun year!! I hope you follow me on my journey.
