After retiring from professional baseball as a catcher for the Cincinnati Reds, Mike Sullivan turned his competitive interests into the exciting and demanding sport of Lumberjack Competitions. Mike has been competing in the lumberjack competitions for more than 20 years. He holds 26 world titles and more than 100 overall titles. Mike is the reigning two-time gold medalist competing in ESPN’s Great Outdoor Games in his favorite event, the Hot Saw. Competing in his 40’s and participating in 18–20 events each year, requires Mike to train year-round to maintain his strength, stamina and dominance of the sport. Mike continues to be one of the top ranking Americans in the STIHL TIMBERSPORT Competitions.
