Winner of 2007 Hottest Bodies Mens Contest

Matus Valent is a European male fitness model born in Bratislava, Slovak Republic living in California.

As a youth, he played indoor volleyball and became the Junior Slovakian champion with his team ASK Inter. He was also on the Slovakian National team at age 19.

During his college years, he turned to beach volleyball, and in 2004 he became the California A-Category champion.

After earning a University Masters Degree in Physical Education and Sports with Management in his hometown, he moved to California where he now lives.

Matus Valent has appeared in numerous magazines including Men’s Exercise, Men’s Workout, Natural Muscle, Reps, Maximum Fitness , Coast and recently appeared on the cover of the prestigious Fitness RX magazine.

For the past 3 years Matus participates in fitness-sport modeling competitions and his greatest achievements include 1st place at the Model America event in 2006, 1st place at the Model California in 2005 & 2006 and 3rd place at the Model Universe in Miami 2006.

Matus’ training schedule:
He works out 5x a week and each session is around 2.5 hrs long.

Routine:
1. Monday: Chest ,Biceps , Abs
2. Tuesday: Legs, Abs
3. Wednesday: Back, Triceps, Abs
4. Thursday: Chest, Biceps, Abs
5. Friday: Shoulders, Calves, Abs

Diet:
Matus’ diet varies depending on his training program. Usually, it’s a 9 to 13 week program depending on what he is preparing for but basically the first 6-8 weeks focus on high protein daily intake.  The remaining weeks emphasize fat-burners adjusting as well as adjusting his workouts. His last week is when he does carb depletion followed with a no sodium diet for 2 more days to look as shredded as possible.
The key elements of his diet include chicken breasts, rice ( white & brown ) and whole milk. The first 6-8 weeks he drinks 72oz of whole milk a day.
